Seaworld San Diego

Allie has talked to Dave plenty of times regarding her love for Orcas and how she has been in the water before and interacted with Beluga Whales. So it was only fitting that we went to SeaWorld in San Diego during this trip so he too could interact with Belugas and see an Orca in person.

We started the day off by getting picked up via a bus at our hotel and taken to a transport depot to switch buses if need be (we didn't need to but others did). We then made the drive to SeaWorld San Diego. Upon arrival we went to the Beluga Interaction meet up and awaited our collection time. We were lucky enough to be the only people signed up for this experience so our photos are only of us and the trainer instead of including strangers. We were then lead backstage to change into wetsuits and then taken to meet Fernando. We did a few interactions with him and enjoyed our time in the arctic waters as he was a great distraction from the freezing temperatures...there is only so much a wetsuit can keep out.

After our Beluga interaction, it was time for some lunch. Dave got Chicken and Chips while Allie got a burger and chips.

Due to the limited time we had at SeaWorld due to the bus collection, we were only able to attend a few shows. We unfortunately missed the Orca show due to show times, but were able to go to the underwater viewing area and get photos and see them.
